The flag of the maritime province of Huelva.
Santiago Dotor, 14 Sep 2000
According to "Huelva Información," the municipality of Huelva has added an anthem to its official symbols. The article recalls that the municipality had officialized in 2003 the coat of arms, used for ages ("utilizado desde tiempo inmemorial"), and the flag, prescribed by the Ministry of the Navy in 1845.

The flag of Huelva is white with a blue rectangle in the middle; the flag adopted in 1845 was prescribed to the maritime province of Huelva. There are conflicting reports of a similar flag used by the modern province of Huelva; in both provincial flags, the rectangle seems to be more a square than in the municipal flag.
