Though J. Nüsse claims, that the company was located in Botafogo; R.J. (Brazil), the company was located in Hamburg. It was established and dissolved by Arnold Keller, the current director of region Europe of Alianca Navegacao & Logistica Ltda in Hamburg. The company tried to optimize the coffee shipping between Scandinavia and Brazil. It was a joint venture of Alianca, Lloyd Brasileiro and some minor companies, forming a common fleet added by two new built ships, the M/V LAPLANDIA and the M/V GOTLANDIA, built in Rostock at Neptun-Werft. Trans Roll joined the company later.
Therefore the flag was changed afterwards.

Description of flag #1: The flag was divided per saltire into white(hoist and fly) and red(top and bottom). At the top edge was a horizontal black stripe, at the bottom edge a yellow one. The main field was superimposed by two yellow rings, superimposing one another (like the symbol for wedding). In the left one was a black “LB” (for Lloyd Brasileiro) and in the right one a black “AL”(for Alianca). Source: Arnold Keller; director region Europe of Alianca

Description of flag#2: The flag was divided per saltire into white(hoist and fly) and red(top and bottom). At the top edge was a horizontal black stripe, at the bottom edge a yellow one. The main field was superimposed by two yellow rings, superimposing one another  but thicker than in flag#1.
In the left one was a black inscription on white background “SCAN”, superimposing some kind of black arrowhead, pointing upwards. In the right one with “BRAS” instead and the arrowhead pointing downwards.
