Sutatenza is a municipality in the Colombian Department of
Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Eastern Boyacá
Province. It was founded on 22 October 1783.
The flag of Sutatenza is horizontally divided white-yellow-green.
It was adopted by decree 007 of 4 October 1983.
Information in Spanish: "Aprobada por el Honorable Concejo
Municipal, mediante Acuerdo No. 007 de Octubre 4 de 1.983.
Significado: La bandera de Sutatenza está compuesta por tres
franjas horizontales de igual tamaño. -Franja Superior Blanca:
Símbolo de paz y libertad. -Franja Media Amarilla: Simboliza la
riqueza de la educación. -Franja Inferior Verde: Señal de
esperanza por un futuro mejor y utilización de los recursos
naturales especialmente agrícolas".
