Somondoco is a municipality in the Colombian Department of
Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Eastern Boyacá
Province. It was founded on 1 November 1537.
The flag of Somondoco is horizontally divided green-blue-purple.
It was adopted by decree 007 of 1 December 1979.
Information in Spanish: "Teniendo en cuenta el Acuerdo 007
de 1.979, del 01 de diciembre: Adoptar como bandera oficial el
siguiente pendón de la ciudad: tres franjas horizontales de
igual dimensión en los colores, sinople (verde), azur (azul) y
púrpura (morado); estos colores son los mismos que caracterizan
el Escudo y se pone en orden de Jerarquía de él. La bandera
necesariamente debe ser siempre un tercio más larga que
ancha".
